The Contax RTS. A camera that was built by Yashica, but was designed in close collaboration with Porsche Design Studio along with Ferdinand Alexander Porsche the creator of the Porsche 911 who worked on this camera.
Porsche designed the industrial design such as the body styling, ergonomics, control layout and the overall aesthetic. Porsche decided where the controls would sit so the RTS handled smoothly in a professional’s hands
RTS stands for “Real Time System”, a reference to its very fast electronic and magnetic shutter. The shutter reacts to the lightest touch of you finger.
