The images below were shot on the Contax RTS (roll 24).

I will speak more about my experience down below…

LOMO PURPLE 100-400

I really like these images and want to shoot this film stock again. I’ll definitely have to do it this summer when there is lots of sunshine out and about and try to travel to a quiet place far away from the city. (As of writing this, it is already August and so I’m not sure if I will have much time for this plan really, but I will try). I like how the greens turn to purples and the blues turn to Cyan.
I like the more contrasty colours in some images and the more desaturated colours in others. There are some problems however. It is a very grainy film. The box speed is ISO 100-400 and I shot all of these at ISO 200 all except the first few because I needed more light. Another problem I faced was that I was getting artefacts show up on the film like little black dots and sometimes green dots, sort of like little ugly splotches.
Not sure if it’s a problem with the film, my camera, or even the development but I have a feeling it’s the film itself as others have pointed out online that they have the same problems. Regardless of this, I think I’ll be shooting this film stock more often in the future.
