Kodak Ektar 100

The images below were shot on the Yashica Mat 124G (roll 78).

I will speak more about my experience down below…

Kodak Ektar 100 - Roll 78 Notes

I'm not really sure what to say about this roll. I think this wasn't the best weather to shoot Ektar 100. Not enough light and it despite the blue sky, the images came out quite dull. I shot this roll in Dawlish. I think I 200 speed or 400 speed. would have been best. The images did have a colour cast and I'm not sure if it was a developing issue or a scanning issue. As I said in my notes it could be an Ektar issue although I don't shoot enough Ektar to know if this really is the case. I obviously haven't included all the images from this roll but the ones I have selected I quite like. My favourites have to be Shot 10, 11 and 12, with Shot 12 being my favourite.
Loading this film into the Patterson tank was a nightmare. I’ve never been more infuriated. It was incredibly challenging to say the least. It is very different to loading 35mm, mainly because 35mm does not curls as much and you can at least feed a bit of the film onto the reel before continuing with the rest in the dark. Well you can’t really do that with Medium Format and so every single step has to be in the dark. Now I knew this going in but I didn't realise exactly how difficult it would be. Well I do know now.
