Post-Developing Thoughts
This was also a test roll just like the last but this time I was testing my Light Meter. Above, I have some notes from the shooting and the developing stage. As you can see, during the shooting I made many mistakes. However, the mistakes didn't really show up on the final image. I'm not sure if next time I'll write notes as in-depth as this because I don't really need to write settings for each and every shot however how will I remember what settings I used if I didn't write them down? The way I wrote these notes was first jotting down on my phone as it is much quicker and then once home writing them out in my notes by hand. As I said in my notes, not every frame from the roll is own here and that is because there were many duplicates and images with extremely bad composition. Needless to say, the light meter worked perfectly however I am still not comfortable using it and so I will need to have more practice. I would like to find very high contrast scenes as a challenge and that will be good practice I think. some of my favourites of the roll have to be Shot 8, 17, 19, 20 and 34. I really like the contrast of shot 34. I may have mentioned previously but if nit, XP2 is slowly becoming one f my favourite Black and White film stocks. It was also nice to use my Contax again because I haven't used that camera in a while.
