YASHICA MAT 124G
The Yashica Mat 124G. A wonderful vintage TLR from the 1970’s. TLR stands for “Twin Lens Reflex”. What this means is the camera has two lenses. You look through the top one while the bottom one takes the image.
The Yashica Mat 124G is a wonderful camera and a great introduction for anybody wanting to hop into Medium Format. Medium Format is bigger than standard 35mm you see, so the final image on the negative has less visible grain. This means You get wonderful high resolution images. This does come at a downside though. The Yashica creates 6X6 square images.
This is where the downside lies because you only get 12 images. For somebody looking for quality over quantity, this camera may be perfect for you.
