A cool flip up retro Polaroid camera from 1981 that has sonar autofocus and a flash. This camera delivers sharp and beautiful polaroids. Although nothing beats the Polaroid SX-70, I’m not sure if I should compare it. Because of the genius behind the autofocus, you can pretty focus on something even when it’s pitch black out That’s because it uses Sonar, the same system bats use.

If the sun disappeared today then the autofocus would still work. That’s because Sonar sends out ultrasonic sound waves that then bounce off the nearest object, return to the camera and then it focuses on that object the sound waves bounced off of.

These cameras are so robust and they can take some damage. If you see one out in the wild, although it’s not a guarantee, you still have a good chance that it is still working.
