Ilford XP2 Super 400
The images below were shot on the Yashica Mat 124G (roll 75).
I will speak more about my experience down below…
Shot 1 - Seaton
Shot 2 - Home
Shot 3 - Home
Shot 4 - Home
Shot 5 - Home
Shot 6 - Exeter
Shot 9 - Lyme Regis
Shot 10 - Lyme Regis
Shot 12 - Budleigh Salterton
This was an interesting roll. For shot 1 I metered with my phone and from shot 2 and onwards I meters with my Sekonic L-858D. This would be the first time using a dedicated light meter. The majority of the roll came out well exposed. Well I guess some of them came out a little bit over exposed. Only shot 9 came out under exposed which I find interesting. I wish I started taking notes about my exposures because I can't really remember what settings I used. If I knew then maybe I would know why it was under exposed. I think my favourite images have to be 6, 10 and 12. I shot this roll in Seaton, at home, in Exeter, in Lyme Regis and in Budleigh Salterton. As of writing this, I have started developing my own film and writing notes around my sooting and developing. I really like Ilford XP2 because even though it’s a B&W film stock, you can actually develop it in C-41 or in Colour Chemicals and so it makes developing easier. I also don’t mind how XP2 looks as a B&W Film /stock and I am a fan of the grain or rather lack thereof.
