Harman Phoenix II 200

The images below were shot on the Ricoh Mirai (roll 81).

I will speak more about my experience down below…

Harman Phoenix II 200 - Roll 81 Notes

I was quite disappointed when shooting these images because it was very sunny only a few hours earlier and we were planning to go to Sidmouth. I had to shoot these in Shute instead and the sun had gone in so it wasn't that bright out. With that aside, I am quite happy with how most of these came out. I used the Ricoh in which I've only used once before. This time, I had a lot more problems with the camera though. Mostly, it was the Autofocus. It is very slow and very clunky, often times missing focus or not getting it correct at all so some shots I had to just miss out on because it wouldn't focus correctly. The camera does have manual focus but that is a pain to use and switch to. I've also ran into the problem of not being able to adjust exposure. You should be able to adjust exposure compensation to make the images brighter or darker yet it didn't work at all.
With my frustrations aside, I like being able to switch to macro and get closeups of things and I think my favourite images has to be of Shot 28 (the reflections in the puddle). I took notes during this roll, mainly of the developing side of things as I shot the camera in automatic mode so I didn’t write what settings I used. I’m not sure when I’ll next use this camera as it really is just such a pain to use properly, it makes shooting with it almost unbearable and not a very fun experience at all. I thought from the last roll I ran through it, that the camera was okay to use but clearly I was very very wrong.
