The Hubcaps: Spring Fling 2026
The images below were shot on the Nikon F60 and the Minolta X-300 (roll 86 and 87). I also shot some Polaroids using the Polaroid Autofocus 660.
I will speak more about my experience down below…
I was asked to take photos of an event called the Spring Fling. It was a fun evening of music played by the Hubcaps and there was also food and a raffle at the evening event. I would be there alongside my new friend Josh who was also recording the event. I was asked to take a few outdoor shots of the group but before I did that I decided to take a few pictures inside. I used Film and Polaroids for this job.
I was going to be using a mix of 35mm Film and Polaroids for this event. For Film I used Cinestill 800T using my Nikon F60. I would use Cinestill 800T throughout the event but with the addition of a second roll of 35mm Film. Below are the outdoor shots of the band. All of the members have a fun personality and great sense of humour.
After the group photos I would then go on to shoot the rest of the event using both the Cinestill 800T from before and some Kodak T-Max P3200 (a B&W Film Stock) in my Minolta X-300.
I then finished off the photos with Two more Polaroids.
All in all the Spring Fling was a wonderful event and it was fun to just be there and listen to the band regardless of if I had my camera with me. I like these images, mostly the B&W ones. I like the grit and the grain of the T-Max Film. I am excited to hear the Hubcaps play again.
