The images below were shot on the Contax RTS (roll 46).
I will speak more about my experience down below…
KODAK TRI-X 400
For this roll I went shooting at home, in Seaton, on the way back in Seaton and when I was just coming out from Colyton. I’m not sure what I think of this roll to be honest. I don’t particularly like the film stock in general. I realise these images are very grainy. Even though it’s a 400 speed film I am still surprised by how much grain there is and how pronounced it is throughout the entirety of the images. I did accidentally underexpose most of the roll so that could definitely be one of the reasons.Still, with my dislike for this film stock aside, I don’t think these images that I’ve included are necessarily bad. I do like them, mostly the dogs (hopefully the owner waiting for his fish and chips shared it with them). I also like the crane and the portrait of my Dad to name a few. I also really like the last two images of the outskirts of Colyton when I was coming back home. This film also has a lot of contrast I feel which I quite like at times. I do have another roll of this film stock so we’ll see when I use it again. I think i’ll only use it when i’m desperate.
