The images below were shot on the Contax RTS (roll 22).
I will speak more about my experience down below…
KODAK EKTAR 100
This roll is following off from my last roll of Ilford HP5 Plus. We were still in Exmouth. This was my first time shooting Kodak Ektar 100 and so I was very excited to try it out for the first time. While in Exmouth I saw some people feeding flocks of pigeons and so I snapped a few photos of them. We walked around a for a little bit and I snapped some photos of the town. After leaving Exmouth I shot a few images at home and I got a photo that I really like. There was lot’s of mist and fog over the hills and Ektar was able to capture all of the little details from it.On another day, me and my friend decided to get some lunch down at the Hind Pub in Musbury. They do really some really nice burgers there. Afterwards, we decided to visit Lyme Regis where I took a few photos to finish up the roll. I met another photographer and he was there with his Leica so we talked for a little bit and then me and my friend decided to go and get an ice cream.I am very happy with these, I think Ektar is quite a good film stock and I’ll have to shoot it again sometime in the near future. It is more on the expensive side and it is ISO 100 and so I may not really have the chance if it doesn’t stay sunny very longer. It is a very vibrant film stock and this is great for landscape photography but where it doesn’t shine is in portraits. It can render skin tones as very pink or even red sometimes and so extensive editing is in order if you capture loads of people. All in all, this is a very sharp film with very little grain and I really like the images I got out of it.
